CULTIVATING COMPASSION: A SPIRITUALITY FOR THE NEW MILLENNIUM

Organization: WomanWell
Location:
St. Paul, Minnesota
Date: June 7-14, 2012

At some of our deepest spiritual and mystical moments, we might ask ourselves; what is life's big question, to which my life is an answer. And sometimes we might find ourselves pondering the purpose of our existence here on earth as we try to make sense of the chaos and destruction we experience all around us. The answer to these seminal questions will depend primarily on our understanding of the story of the universe and the relationship that the self occupies within the text of that primal story. Our vocation as human beings is fundamentally a call that implies a relationship that acknowledges and honors the sacredness of all matter. It is a perspective that invites us into a deeply compassionate love for oneself and creation.

At this retreat we will create a nurturing space and time to reflect on this all-encompassing and liberating truth. This retreat gently invites us into this inter-related and compassionate way of being as the spirituality for the new millennium. Our special role as humans is to enable the entire Universe Community to reflect on and celebrate ourselves and our deepest mystery in a special mode of conscious self-awareness.
